It’s good news for all Rishi Kapoor fans out there! If everything goes well, he affirms that by the end of August he will return to India. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actor said, “Yes, I am trying to come back by the end of August, conditional on what the hospital doctors recommend. I’ve got a nice recovery, and I feel great. By the moment I’m back, it must be 100 percent fit.”
By the way, this September, the actor will turn 67 and can handle a return to India just in time.
“He is 100% cancer-free, and for the time being, under the observation of the doctors. He stays in a personal apartment in the Big Apple and enjoys life. He is also following the ongoing cricket World Cup in England as a cricket buff and continues to discuss the outcomes of the games with his Indian colleagues,” Mumbai Mirror cited a source as stating.
The actor had been in New York with wife Neetu Kapoor for his cancer treatment. On a positive note, the actor was declared cancer-free in May. He also shared a twitter post on the same:
Today I complete eight months here in New York. When will l ever get home?

“In my eighth month of therapy began in the United States on May 1. But God has been kind! I’m in remission, which means I’m cancer free now. I’m going to have to do a bone marrow transplant that is likely to take another minimum of two months. To be in remission is a big deal, and all worked because of the prayers and duas of my family and my fans. I just simply want to thank them all. Neetu was like a rock standing by me. Otherwise, I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drinks are concerned. My kids Ranbir and Ridhima have really shouldered my problems,” he said, in an interview with Deccan Chronicle.
The Bollywood film fraternity, right from Priyanka Chopra, Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Sonali Bendre, and others had paid a visit to the veteran actor while they were in the US. Let’s wish a speedy recovery for Rishi Kapoor.
