The latest Hustlers release of actor-singer Jennifer Lopez is creating a lot of buzz as it is inspired by a true story of a gang of strippers who plan a heist by robbing Wall-Street men. The film has received a lot of praise after its US release with a lot of people claiming that JLo’s performance is ‘Oscar-Worthy‘.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the actor opened up about playing a stripper and how they were looked down upon by society. “I believe that everyone deserves the respect, appreciation and the obligation not to be treated on the basis of their decisions, even bad choices,” said JLo.
She (JLo) extended, “The reality is that we are all hustling, arguing, seeking to get through each day in order to win the battles that we need to fight. Women are fetishized eternally, however, when they explore a way to benefit from it, it’s an issue all of a sudden.”
“In movies, a stripper is painted as throwaways or simply background characters. Hustlers dig into the stories of those women’s lives and shows the great, the bad, and the ugly. I think individuals are about to appreciate the actuality of this film and its characters,” Jennifer expressed.
