Kangana Ranaut has beaten Vidya Balan to sack the famous actress-turned-politician, Tamil Nadu’s most adored chief minister Jayalalithaa. Titled Thalaivi in Tamil and Jaya in Hindi, the movie is planned to go on shootings by September 2019.
Veteran author Vijayendra Prasad, who has written his son SS Rajmouli’s Baahubali says, “Truly, I am composing a biopic on Jayalalithaa. Kangana Ranaut, for whom I composed the ongoing Manikarnika will play the epitome figure of the incomparable Jayalalithaa. The movie will be produced in Hindi and Tamil and most likely different dialects as well, it’s not been determined yet. It’s everything been excessively unexpected. I was approached to compose the biopic on Jayalalithaa ji simply some days prior. I promptly expressed my consent.”
Vijayendra Prasad considers this to be the greatest dare of his profession. “It is an incredible obligation. I realize a few others are endeavoring to make a movie on Jayalalithaa ji. She is an unpredictable character to cover in a film. A performing artist second to none who proceeded to be an adored politician. The different stages throughout her life have amazing layers. It will be a dare to choose which stages throughout her life would go into the film. I need to ensure my analysis is right, and the realities that go into the film are exact. Otherwise, her fans and devotees would not spare me.”

The movie, a bilingual, has been titled Thalaivi in Tamil and Jaya in Hindi and will be filmed by AL Vijay. The 39-year-old producer who is widely known for his movies like Madrasapattinam, Deiva Thirumagal and Thalaivaa among others, said that creating a film on the former CM is a huge responsibility.

Teaming with Kangana, says Vijayendra, would be a joy. “She is very amped up for playing Jayalalithaa Ji. I realize she will do her very own homework and likewise I will do mine.
