Film giants over at Walt Disney Studios have given the people their very first look at the cast of the live action remake of Lady and the Tramp. This upcoming adaptation is based on the 1955 animated movie of the same name and is set to be released exclusively on Disney+, the company’s new streaming service.
And fans of the film might be delighted to know that the 2019 version will feature actual good children in the title roles – and not CGI dogs. Disney gave social media users a glimpse at the two cute pups set to share that iconic spaghetti kiss in Lady and the Tramp.
Lady and the Tramp is the latest film to get the live action treatment.

The part of Lady is voiced by Thor: Ragnarok star Tessa Thompson and will be played on screen by Rose, an adorable cocker spaniel with wonderful fluffy ears, just like her animated counterpart.
A terrier named Monte will be portraying Tramp in the flick and his voice will be provided by Justin Theroux (Mullholland Drive).
Monte has his own film-worthy back story, are adopted by one of the film’s dog trainers after he was rescued from a kill-shelter in New Mexico.

The original movie follows pampered pooch Lady as her life is turned upside down when her owners Jim Dear and Darling decide to have a baby. Lady soon finds herself in a spot of trouble and is rescued by a stray dog named Tramp.
The pair begin to fall in love with one another, but Lady realizes she must go back home to her family. Disaster strikes several more times, but ultimately a team of adorable dogs manages to come together to save the day.
Directed by Charlie Bean, the live action film will also feature a number of other big names, including Sam Elliot as Trusty, Ashley Jensen as Jock, Janelle Monáe as Peg and Benedict Wong as Bull.
Thomas Mann, Kiersey Clemmons and Yvette Nicole have also been cast to voice some very cute canines. The film will launch on Disney+ when the platform becomes available in the US on 12th November.
No UK release date has yet been confirmed in the service in the UK, but it is expected to arrive in early 2020.
